Medical Service Provider

We are seeking a highly skilled Medical Service Provider to join our team. This role will support KBR in their joint department of defense program in Alice Springs, Australia.

About the Role

The Medical Service Provider will be responsible for providing medical services comparable to those provided by a USG Facility Medical Officer.

This includes obtaining health history and performing physical examinations, diagnosing and directing counseling for each patient, prescribing medication in accordance with state statute and professional practice guidelines, maintaining a problem-oriented health record for each patient seen, assuring continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis, arranging referrals for patients requiring services not offered on-site, and reviewing incoming reports and signing/dating follow-up in a timely manner.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide medical services comparable to those provided by a USG Facility Medical Officer.
  • Obtain health history and perform physical examinations.
  • Diagnose and direct counseling for each patient.
  • Prescribe medication in accordance with state statute and professional practice guidelines.
  • Maintain a problem-oriented health record for each patient seen.
  • Assure continuity of care by providing comprehensive medical services on a timely basis.
  • Arrange referrals for patients requiring services not offered on-site.
  • Review incoming reports and sign/date follow-up in a timely manner.
Requirements
  • Expertise in clinical practice and a collaborative spirit.
  • Strong communication skills and empathetic demeanor.
Working Conditions
  • The work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
  • The position may require bending, stooping, and lifting up to 15 lbs.
