Schools Facilities Maintenance Officer

This role is focused on maintaining the school environment, ensuring it is safe and well-maintained for students and staff. The successful applicant will have experience working with machinery and be able to provide excellent maintenance services.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining school grounds, including ovals, gardens, and regular servicing of equipment.
  • Providing assistance in the maintenance of school facilities, including minor repairs and graffiti removal.
  • Working collaboratively as part of a team to achieve safety and maintenance goals.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong desire to support student learning, be willing to undertake training to enhance their skills, and have excellent organisational, communication, and time management skills.

Additional requirements include:

  • Proven experience working with machinery, including maintenance and record keeping.
  • Knowledge of or ability to gain knowledge of tools and equipment, including school tractor.
  • Demonstrated awareness of Health, Safety and Welfare (HSW) requirements.
