Senior Mental Health Program Lead

This is a newly created senior role within the mental health sector. The purpose of the role is to lead the development, implementation and delivery of targeted programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
The ideal candidate will have experience in a relevant management role and a strong understanding of Aboriginal culture. They will also be able to foster effective referral partnerships with government departments, community organisations and NGO agencies.
This position requires an experienced person to review how each program is working and make changes if required. The successful candidate will be supported by an experienced leadership team and CEO.
Key Responsibilities:
- To develop and implement targeted programs for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people
- To ensure existing programs and services are inclusive, culturally appropriate and accessible
- To foster effective referral partnerships with government departments, community organisations and NGO agencies
- To review and evaluate the effectiveness of programs and make recommendations for improvement
Requirements:
Tertiary Qualification: Tertiary qualification in psychology, social work, counselling, nursing or occupational therapy (or relevant Allied Health qualification) OR equivalent mix of minimum relevant diploma and extended work experience, supplementary training and qualifications.
Mental Health Work Experience: Relevant mental health work experience post qualification.
Management Role: Experience in a relevant management role.
Certifications: Current National Police and Working with Children check.
