Classroom Teacher Role

This is a temporary part-time position commencing in January 2026 until December 2026.

The role of Classroom Teacher exists to support growth in faith and improvement in learning, enabling students to reach their full potential.

  • Demonstrate a deep understanding and commitment to the mission and purpose of the Catholic School within the broader Catholic Church.
  • Create and maintain an orderly, safe and supportive learning environment based on the principles of Positive Behaviour for Learning (PB4L).
  • Ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning across all Key Learning Areas.
  • Apply knowledge of the diverse needs of students to support their full participation in learning.
  • Implement effective teaching strategies in Literacy and Numeracy.
  • Use a range of assessment strategies and analyse data to inform student learning.
  • Demonstrate commitment to engage professionally with colleagues, parents/carers and the wider school community.

Desirable Selection Criteria:

  • Experienced Physical Education teacher with the ability to plan for and implement effective teaching and learning in physical education.

General Capabilities:

  • Well-developed interpersonal skills.
  • Well-developed oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Strong organisational skills.

Qualifications:

  • Appropriate qualifications for teaching Primary K–6.
  • Accredited Level D to teach Religious Education in accordance with To Work, Teach and Lead policy or a commitment to gain this level within the first 5 years of employment.
  • The applicant must be accredited with NESA to teach in NSW.

Working With Children Clearance:

This role is classified as child-related work and therefore a Working With Children Check is required prior to your employment.
