About the Role

Our team is seeking an experienced Principal Contaminated Land Specialist to lead contaminated land investigations, site remediation, and environmental risk strategy.

This is a senior role that requires extensive knowledge of QLD and national legislation, as well as strong leadership and communication skills.

  • Lead contaminated land investigations (PSIs, DSIs, RAPs, validation)
  • Manage field programs, contractors, and junior staff
  • Oversee data interpretation, reporting and recommendations
  • Liaise with clients, auditors, regulators and internal teams
  • Support regulatory approvals and stakeholder engagement
  • Develop proposals and contribute to business development
  • Mentor junior consultants and build technical capability
Requirements
  • Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Geology or related field
  • 15+ years of experience in contaminated land consulting in Australia
  • Strong working knowledge of QLD and national legislation (EP Act, NEPM)
  • Excellent writing, reporting and client communication skills
  • A proactive, solutions-focused approach to complex sites
  • Desire to lead, mentor, and grow your technical influence
