About the Role:

The Northern Land Council seeks an experienced Project Coordinator to join our Regional Development team based in Katherine. As a key member of the team, you will be at the forefront of land use planning and project delivery under the Aboriginal Land Rights (Northern Territory) Act 1976.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage Expressions of Interest and Land Use Agreements effectively
  • Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to assess proposals, facilitate consultations, and support negotiations between Traditional Owners and external stakeholders
  • Coordinate field visits and meetings efficiently
  • Prepare high-level reports and manage budgets accurately
What You Will Bring:

You're a seasoned organiser with a strong background in project coordination and stakeholder engagement. Your ability to understand cultural sensitivity and collaboration is crucial in working across disciplines to deliver results.

A natural communicator, you are able to navigate complex processes and work effectively across cultures. Experience working with Aboriginal communities or within a statutory framework like the ALRA is highly regarded, but your adaptability and respect for others' perspectives are what will set you apart.

You will have:

  • Relevant qualification such as Bachelor of Project Management, Business or related field and/or significant experience in a related industry or sector
  • Practical experience coordinating and facilitating project administration
  • Experience in financial planning and management including budgeting, cost recovery and corporate credit management
  • A current NT Driver's licence

We offer:

  • A base salary of $115,194 per annum plus 15% superannuation and salary sacrificing up to $15,900
  • Meal entertainment and holiday accommodation benefits up to $2,650 per year
  • District allowance of up to $9,750 per annum for individuals with dependents and $6,036 without dependents
  • 5 weeks annual leave, leaving loading, 18 days personal leave; Paid Christmas close down
  • Annual airfare with a net (in hand) value of $3,177 upon completion of 12 months of service
