Job Summary

Central Coast Council is seeking a highly motivated and experienced Swim Programs Instructor to join our Leisure and Pools team. As a Swim Programs Instructor, you will play a key role in delivering high-quality swim programs to customers of all ages, promoting a safe and enjoyable learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver swim programs to enable participants to achieve their personal development goals and improve their swimming skills.
  • Implement Central Coast Council's Learn to Swim Program guidelines and lesson plans as directed by the Crew Leader.
  • Continuously review and track participants' progress, ensuring their safety at all times.
  • Prepare lessons and equipment as instructed.
Requirements
  • Current AUSTSWIM qualification in teaching of swimming and water safety or Swim Australia Teacher (SAT) or Swim Coaching qualifications or equivalent.
  • Provide Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID 001 / HLTAID 009).
  • Working with Children Check Clearance Number or Application Number as per Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013 (if over 18) or willingness to obtain prior to any offer of employment.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality swim programs of various levels or demonstrated previous experience in coaching swimming.
  • Demonstrated ability to embrace change and commitment to work across multiple work locations.
What We Offer
  • Casual positions available up to 38 hours per week.
  • Salary $36.08 per hour (includes 25% casual loading and superannuation).
  • Penalty rates apply for weekend work.
