Join Our Team as a Casual Swim Programs Instructor

We are seeking highly motivated and enthusiastic individuals to join our team as Casual Swim Programs Instructors at Central Coast Council Leisure Facilities NSW.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, delivering high-quality swim programs to people of all ages and skill levels. As a Casual Swim Programs Instructor, you will be responsible for teaching essential swim skills, leading group lessons, and providing a safe and supportive learning environment.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality swim programs that cater to diverse age groups and skill levels
  • Lead group lessons and provide individualized instruction and feedback
  • Ensure participant safety and well-being at all times
  • Prepare lessons and equipment as instructed
  • Collaborate with the Swim Programs team to achieve program goals and objectives
Requirements
  • Current AUSTSWIM qualification in teaching of swimming and water safety or Swim Australia Teacher (SAT) or Swim Coaching qualifications or equivalent
  • Provide Resuscitation Certificate (HLTAID 001 / HLTAID 009)
  • Working with Children Check Clearance Number or Application Number as per Child Protection (Working with Children) Regulation 2013 (if over 18) or willingness to obtain prior to any offer of employment
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering high-quality swim programs or demonstrated previous experience in coaching swimming
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances
