Senior Business Systems Analyst

Join the Department For Human Services as a Senior Business Systems Analyst and contribute to the development of effective business systems that support the department's strategic directions.
About the RoleThe Senior Business Systems Analyst will be responsible for evaluating business processes, anticipating requirements, and identifying areas for improvement. They will develop and implement solutions to support the effective use of the Referral Outcomes Monitoring Systems (ROMS) end-user experience.
Key Responsibilities- Analyse and assess data integrity to interrogate ROMS business requirements and identify effective business system processes.
- Undertake discrete system projects and prepare business cases that define potential benefits/outcomes, strategies to achieve the outcomes, and associated business risks.
- Define, execute, and manage acceptance tests, testing processes, and prepare high-level written communication for the implementation of new/updated business system enhancements.
- Plan, organise, and conduct audits and risk assessments to determine whether relevant quality controls have been applied for internal processes and the use of ROMS.
- Maintain detailed documentation on business processes, testing standards, and coordinate the maintenance of data dictionaries, meta-data, issue resolution procedures, operational manuals, and user guides for ROMS.
- Tertiary qualifications in Business Analysis, Information Technology, or equivalent level of expertise gained from a combination of experience, training, or professional accreditation.
- Experience working in the Health and Welfare sector or research environments.
- Ability to build collaborative relationships with key stakeholders and undertake discrete projects that contribute to the efficient and effective development of ROMS.
