We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Lifestyle Assistant to join our team at Uniting AgeWell. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality lifestyle programs to our residents, promoting their independence, and enhancing their overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and deliver engaging lifestyle programs that cater to the diverse needs and interests of our residents.
  • Conduct assessments and reviews to identify residents' cultural, recreational, and leisure needs, and lifestyle interests.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, maintaining friendly, supportive, and professional relationships with residents, their families, and friends.

Requirements:

  • Certificate III in Aged Care or equivalent qualification.
  • Certificate IV in Lifestyle and Leisure (desirable).
  • Ability to drive a 10-seater bus (desirable).
  • Experience and knowledge in residential aged care, with a commitment to high standards of care for residents and their families.
  • Caring and compassionate nature.
  • Experience as a Personal Care Worker in Aged Care (highly regarded).
  • Ability to thrive in a team environment and appreciate one-to-one interactions.
  • Current Working with Vulnerable People card.
  • Australian working rights and ability to pass a national police clearance.

Essentials for Working in Aged Care:

  • A current Working With Vulnerable People card/Working With Children Check card.
  • Current and ongoing flu and COVID-19 vaccinations.
  • Ability to pass a national police clearance.
