We're currently looking for a motivated and hardworking leader to join our Biloela store in Central Queensland as a bakery department manager. This exciting opportunity offers a chance to make a real impact on our business, working closely with our Store Manager and a small team.

The successful applicant will be responsible for managing a small team, creating rosters, generating orders, completing stock takes, and much more. They will also be expected to demonstrate fresh food retail knowledge, ability to lead and manage a team, and other key skills outlined below.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage a small team to achieve sales targets and improve customer satisfaction
  • Create rosters, generate orders, and complete stock takes
  • Demonstrate fresh food retail knowledge and ability to lead and manage a team
  • Ability to order and control costs, with an excellent understanding of gross profit calculations
  • Accurate team rostering, with passion and enthusiasm for delivering results
  • Unparalleled commitment to customer service, with excellent communication skills
  • Ability to liaise with both team members and management, with a flair for merchandising
  • Strong leadership and delegation skills, with commitment to work health and safety standards

Requirements:

  • Fresh food retail knowledge, with bakery experience preferred but not essential
  • Ability to lead and manage a team, with a strong focus on customer service
  • Excellent communication skills, with ability to liaise with team members and management
  • Flair for merchandising, with strong leadership and delegation skills
  • Commitment to work health and safety standards, with ability to coach, train, and performance manage teams
