The successful applicant will be responsible for implementing mental health prevention and promotion activities, providing early intervention services, and coordinating supports for students with complex needs. Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement mental health prevention and promotion activities for students and staff
  • Provide early intervention services, including short-term counselling, for students with mental health concerns
  • Coordinate supports for students with complex needs, including referrals to external services
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parents to create a safe and supportive learning environment
  • Contribute to the development of policies and operational practices that promote mental health and wellbeing
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

Qualifications as a psychologist, social worker, mental health nurse, or occupational therapistExperience in mental health practice, including direct counselling experienceStrong communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to work collaboratively with teachers, students, and parentsKnowledge of legislative requirements regarding privacy of health informationWhat We Offer
