Electrical Engineer - Low Voltage Systems Opportunity

Amentum is seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer to join their team in Alice Springs, NT - Australia. As an Electrical Engineer - Low Voltage Systems, you will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the organization's Low-voltage, Audio-Visual (A/V) infrastructure and Security systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and design technical architecture solutions for emerging technologies.
  • Supervise small teams on project deployments and provide technical assistance.
  • Identify opportunities and provide technical solutions for functional problems.
  • Prepare and present test plans, technical overviews, and analysis.
  • Collaborate with all teams to ensure a robust and repeatable solution.
  • Translate business requirements into technical solutions.
  • Document architecture and design of the implemented solution.
  • Provide, present, and support technical advice for external project integrators.
  • Modify and design new systems to meet operational requirements.
  • Create and update technical documentation and user manuals.
  • Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices and compliances at site and within the workplace.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent working experience in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 3-7 years' experience in a relevant field, including experience with Electronic Access Control Security systems, electronic access control hardware devices, software applications, and databases.
  • Demonstrated understanding of EHS procedures and ability to troubleshoot issues and develop innovative solutions to problems.
  • Strong communication skills and ability to engage with varied stakeholders.

Security Clearance Requirement

It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role. The employee will require a Top-Secret Positive Vetting (TSPV) Department of Defence Security Clearance (Australian) or TS/SCI (U.S.) clearance w/ Poly.
