Job Title: Judgments Officer

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the publication of judgments and work within a national team.
  • Monitor document formatting for security, accuracy, and consistency.
  • Allocate Neutral Citation numbers and pseudonyms.
  • Upload and amend records in judgments databases.
  • Distribute judgments to legal publishers.
  • Create judgments alerts.
  • Liaise with court staff regarding technical aspects of judgments production.
  • Anonymise family law judgments prior to publication.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Excellent written communication skills with emphasis on spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Advanced experience with Microsoft Word and information systems like databases and content management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience with data standards and publishing processes.
  • Effective organisational skills with ability to produce results under time pressure.
  • Interpersonal and oral communication skills to liaise with judges and colleagues.
