Empower Residents to Engage in Meaningful Activities

This role is an exciting opportunity to make a difference in the lives of older adults by facilitating their participation in leisure and lifestyle programs. As an Activities Officer, you will play a vital role in empowering residents to engage in activities that bring them joy, purpose, and fulfillment.

The ideal candidate will have experience working with individuals with dementia and a passion for creating engaging and inclusive programs. You will work closely with our team to develop and implement therapeutic plans that cater to the unique needs and interests of each resident.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Participate in the development, implementation, and assessment of therapeutic plans that promote resident engagement and participation.
  • Support residents in selecting and participating in leisure and lifestyle activities that align with their interests and abilities.
  • Collaborate with staff and volunteers to provide high-quality leisure and lifestyle programs that enhance resident wellbeing.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with older adults, particularly those with dementia.
  • Certificate III in Leisure and Lifestyle or equivalent qualification.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Understanding of relevant legislative and regulatory requirements related to aged care.
