Job Opportunity: Transportation Professional

The role of a transportation professional involves providing safe and reliable transportation services to residents, enabling them to participate in various outings and activities.

Key responsibilities include transporting equipment and resident shopping on the bus, folding and unfolding mobility aids as required, accompanying residents to enable staff to attend to others' needs, engaging with residents to encourage participation in outings, assisting residents with simple mobilization, including pushing a wheelchair, providing information to the Activities Officer/Lifestyle Coordinator on resident interactions, delivering excellent customer service, and driving safely.

  • Transportation:
  • Fully insured bus for passenger transport
  • LR class license for driving buses with 22 passenger capacity or less
  • Previous experience using lifting equipment and assistive devices (desirable)

The successful candidate will be responsible for maintaining due care at all times while driving. Additionally, they will be required to use computer software, including Word and Excel, possess a First Aid & CPR Certificate (desirable), obtain seasonal flu vaccination evidence, and complete a police check.
