Job Title: Research Informatics Specialist

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and innovative Research Informatics Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in establishing a research databank containing COVID-19 patient data for clinical research and informing our pandemic response plan.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Foster collaboration with multidisciplinary teams to integrate COVID-19 patient data from multiple sources into our MaP Data Warehouse.
  • Validate workflows and codes used to generate the research databank in collaboration with the University of Melbourne team.
  • Evaluate the draft research databank for quality and completeness.
  • Maintain documentation to support ongoing support of the research databank.

Requirements:

  • A relevant tertiary qualification in Computer Science, Statistics/Mathematics, Engineering, Data Science or related discipline.
  • Proficiency in coding and data wrangling using appropriate computer languages such as SQL or Python.
  • Experience with extract, transform and loading (ETL) data from multiple data sources into a central Data Warehouse.
  • Exposure to working with Cerner Millennium Electronic Medical Record data will be highly regarded.
