Job Description:
The Investment Accounting Specialist will play a crucial role in ensuring the accuracy and compliance of financial reports. Key responsibilities include:
- Preparation and reconciliation of investment-related financial statements and reports.
- Monitoring and analysing portfolio performance to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Managing daily accounting tasks related to investments, including journal entries and reconciliations.
- Assisting in the preparation of audit schedules and liaising with external auditors as required.
- Supporting the implementation of new accounting systems or processes within the department.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial regulations and internal policies.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
To be successful in this role, candidates should possess:
- A degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in accounting software and strong Excel skills.
- CA/CPA Qualified, Business Services experience within a CA or CPA Firm.
- Experience in investment accounting or financial reporting within the Financial Services industry ideal.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities.
- A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
- Sound knowledge of financial regulations and compliance requirements.
