Technical Supervisor Job

We are seeking an experienced leader to oversee and mentor a skilled trades team in a Defence Maintenance Contract setting.

This role involves driving technical excellence, ensuring compliance, and fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Lead and mentor a team of skilled trade staff and apprentices
  • Allocate tasks and manage workflow in accordance with the End-to-End Maintenance Process
  • Provide expert technical guidance and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Conduct inspections, audits, and technical investigations as needed
  • Drive continuous improvement and support professional development across the team
  • Collaborate with planners, schedulers, and Defence stakeholders to ensure operational excellence
  • Review time confirmations, leave applications, and performance metrics
About You

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A Certificate IV in Automotive Mechanical Diagnosis or Certificate III in Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical Technology (or equivalent)
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a workshop or maintenance environment
  • Experience using SAP and MS Office
  • Knowledge of WHS, quality assurance, and Defence compliance standards
  • A manual C-class driver's licence

Please note that eligibility for a Defence Security Clearance (Negative Vetting Level 1) and Australian citizenship are essential requirements for this position.
