Monadelphous, a leading Australian company, is seeking a highly skilled Senior Project Accountant to join our Corporate division. As a key member of our Heavy Lift team, you will play a critical role in providing world-class heavy lifting services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Manage project accounting activities, including cost control, progress claim assistance, and generating project budget and forecasts.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
- Analyse project financial data and provide recommendations for cost savings and efficiency improvements.
- Cost control and analysis of earned value/shortfall.
- Collaborate with project managers to ensure accurate project forecasting and reporting.
- Coordinate with corporate accounting to ensure accurate and timely project financial reporting.
- Review and approve project-related invoices, expenses, and payments.
- Prepare monthly management reports and present to senior management.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA or CMA certification preferred.
- 5+ years of experience in project accounting or related field.
- Preferable on-site experience in a large construction project or mining contractor.
- Strong knowledge of accounting principles and practices.
- Experience with project accounting software and ERP systems.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Willingness to work on-site at the project location on a 5:2 (Monday to Friday DIDO roster).
