Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee all engineering and technical dimensions of investment initiatives, ensuring precision, quality, and adherence to regulations.
  • Develop, schedule, allocate resources, and supervise projects, working closely with local engineers, the Regional Engineering team, and the Head of Operations.
  • Assist Australian manufacturing facilities with production technology, process optimization, and equipment oversight, including Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) and Site Acceptance Testing (SAT).
  • Lead the vendor qualification process for process equipment and manage the capital expenditure plan for Sika Australia.

Core Duties:

  • Deliver monthly performance reports and present updates during Engineering Meetings.
  • Implement APAC Operations guidelines and enhance regional engineering initiatives.
  • Boost production efficiency through innovative process technologies and collaborate with maintenance teams to minimize equipment downtime.
  • Track Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) and provide training for maintenance and production personnel.
  • Conduct feasibility assessments and utilize various analyses (risk, HAZOP, cost-benefit, FMEAs) for investment projects.
  • Propose and execute enhancements to plant equipment/systems, and advise on budget considerations for expansions.
  • Support project management activities with FAT, SAT, and the initiation of production lines.
  • Perform engineering tasks in accordance with established standards, ensuring compliance with codes, QA/QC policies, and performance benchmarks.
  • Collaborate with R&D on formulations, processes, and raw material cost analysis.
  • Coordinate and assess new processes, equipment, projects, and technologies.
  • Engage in CAPEX project master planning and budget formulation.
  • Undertake additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Engineering background with a decade of experience in relevant positions, ideally within a multinational context.
  • Demonstrated project management expertise and execution capabilities.
  • Familiarity with LEAN and Kaizen methodologies.
  • Proactive, focused, and results-oriented with strong leadership and people management skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and management abilities.
  • Diligent, reliable, and intelligent.
  • Fluent in English with excellent communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills and knowledge of project management processes and tools.
  • Self-motivated and capable of working independently.
