Structural Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Structural Design Professional to join our team on the Gold Coast. This full-time position offers a great opportunity for career development and growth in a rapidly expanding company.

The successful candidate will have strong technical skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proactive approach to working collaboratively with colleagues. Experience with ISO compliance, SolidWorks, and structural design software is highly valued.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement manufacturing strategies & operational benchmarking initiatives.

  • Collaborate with design engineers to improve product design and assembly methodologies.

  • Conduct calibration and testing of products, address quality issues promptly, and work with relevant teams to resolve them.

  • Design and engineer specialized components, equipment, and systems to improve build consistency, quality, and performance.

  • Manage suppliers and contractors to ensure cost-effective and timely delivery of goods and services.

  • Prepare and monitor budget costs to ensure projects are delivered within scope.

  • Travel domestically and internationally to support projects and supplier engagement.

  • Research and develop new products and rapid prototypes.

  • Work closely with mechanical engineers.


Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Minimum three years' work experience in a design and manufacturing environment.
  • Experience and knowledge in designing products to Australian Standards.
  • Must have experience in structural design software.
  • Experience in ISO compliance.
  • Strong supplier management and budgeting skills.
  • Current Driver's License and reliable transport.
  • Ability to travel when required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Excellent attention to detail with the ability to multi-task and troubleshoot.
  • A proactive, creative mindset with strong initiative.
  • Confidence, flexibility, and resilience to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality at all times.
  • Ability to both follow and create workflow processes.
  • Experience with Australian and International patents (highly valued but not essential).
  • RPEQ certification (desired but not required).
