Caregiver Family Advocate

The Support Worker will collaborate with carer families in their homes, providing regular support and assistance.
They will facilitate access to community groups, appointments, and activities. This role involves supporting carers after school and in the evenings, as well as continuous assessment in consultation with case workers.
The Support Worker reports directly to the Service Manager and collaborates closely with other professionals to develop a comprehensive plan for each family.
- Knowledge and understanding of diverse cultural backgrounds and values.
- Relevant qualification and/or experience in human services or related fields.
- Able to work effectively within a team.
- Understanding of vulnerable children, trauma, attachment, and child development principles.
- Commitment to collaborative work and liaising with agencies and the community.
- Knowledge of child protection systems.
