We are seeking a skilled Senior Design System Engineer to join our team.

Job Description

The successful candidate will lead the evolution of our design system, working at the intersection of design, engineering, and product. You will own the architecture and implementation of Heidi's design system across web and desktop (React/TypeScript), and collaborate on mobile (iOS) guidelines.

You will partner closely with product designers to translate design principles into reusable, accessible components that reflect our brand and UX standards. Create documentation, tooling, and contribution workflows that scale design system usage across teams.

Drive adoption by collaborating with product teams and advocating for system thinking and frontend best practices. Push for performance, consistency, and accessibility across the UI-making our experiences fast, inclusive, and beautiful.

  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Create and maintain a robust design system architecture
  • Develop and implement scalable design solutions
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive design system adoption
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • 5+ years of frontend engineering experience
  • Deep expertise in modern React and TypeScript
  • Strong track record of building and maintaining robust design systems or component libraries in fast-moving environments
  • Deep understanding of accessibility (WCAG), responsive design, and cross-browser support
