Specialist Geochemical Consultant

We are seeking a highly skilled expert to join our team in the field of geochemistry. The ideal candidate will have a passion for problem-solving, mentoring, and career development.

Job Overview:

The successful applicant will be responsible for providing specialist consulting services to clients locally and internationally. This role requires using technical knowledge and experience to provide timely advice and project work.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Developing and delivering specialized projects related to mine wastes, mineral waste management and water quality assessments
  • Mentoring junior team members and sharing knowledge through leadership skills
  • Engaging and managing client relationships, as well as developing new business opportunities
Requirements:
  • Tertiary qualification in Geology, Geochemistry, Environmental Science or engineering discipline with relevant experience
  • 10+ years experience in geochemical characterisation of mine wastes, mineral waste management and water quality assessments
  • Previous consulting experience and field work experience including drilling supervision and geological logging
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to work in a multidisciplinary team environment
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Relevant Masters or Ph D
  • Experience in geochemical modelling (e.g. PHREEQC, Geochemists Workbench)
  • Management of large datasets and geological 3D modelling software (Leapfrog, Vulcan)

Australian Citizen, Permanent Resident or existing Working Visa preferred. Willingness to travel for project work also required.
