Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Clinical Nurse Specialist to provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery within a nursing unit, team or service.

The successful candidate will employ advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision making, working closely with managers and other senior clinicians.

This role is an exciting opportunity for a dedicated and experienced nurse to make a meaningful contribution to improving mental health services.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior nursing clinical leadership in the development of specialist clinical practice and service delivery.
  • Employ advanced clinical skills and exercise extended autonomy of decision making.
  • Work closely with managers and other senior clinicians to achieve organisational goals.

Requirements:

  • Current registration with AHPRA as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years' experience working in the clinical area of their specified post-graduate qualification.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritise and problem solve to manage the complex clinical care needs of patients through the development and use of clinical management plans.
  • Highly developed written and verbal communication skills with advanced interpersonal and problem solving skills.
