Job Title: Vehicle Reconditioning Process Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and dynamic professional to oversee the reconditioning process for used vehicles. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring each vehicle meets our high-quality standards before sale, while also managing technicians, coordinating with vendors, and adhering to timelines for an efficient workflow.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement workflows to ensure timely and cost-effective reconditioning of vehicles.
  • Work closely with technicians, detailers, and vendors to ensure quality repairs and detailing meet dealership standards.
  • Maintain a reconditioning pipeline, prioritizing based on sales demand and inventory levels.
  • Ensure all vehicles meet dealership quality standards before sale.
  • Coordinate with sales and inventory teams for timely vehicle availability and effective inventory management.
  • Negotiate and manage relationships with third-party vendors to achieve optimal pricing and service.
  • Monitor costs and adhere to budgets without compromising quality or safety standards.
  • Review and approve repair orders for necessity and efficiency, identifying areas for improvement.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without sacrificing quality or safety.
  • Conduct final inspections to meet dealership and customer expectations.
  • Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and manufacturer standards.
  • Maintain documentation of all reconditioning work, including quality control checks and maintenance records.
  • Address quality concerns before vehicles are placed at site, ensuring customer satisfaction.
  • Supervise and lead technicians, detailers, and other staff members, providing guidance and support as needed.
  • Provide training and development opportunities to team members, promoting continuous learning and growth.
  • Monitor team performance and provide regular feedback, fostering a positive work environment.
  • Track and report key performance indicators (KPIs) such as cycle time, costs, and inventory readiness, informing business decisions.
  • Communicate progress and challenges to management, proposing solutions and recommendations for improvement.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement, encouraging innovation and best practices within the team.
