Job Title: Facilities Management Role
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Facilities Manager to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the daily operation of our facilities, ensuring they are maintained to a high standard and meet all relevant safety and regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in Building and Facilities Management, with a strong understanding of relevant By-Laws, regulations and building codes. You will be a competent communicator, able to handle responsibilities and time management effectively, and possess excellent interpersonal skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Onsite resource for common property matters
- Responding to and actioning maintenance requests, as well as facilitating repairs and maintenance of common property by obtaining quotes
- Conducting daily inspections of the property
- Being the onsite contact for owners, occupiers, and suppliers
- Instructing Strata manager on work orders
- Supervision and quality assessment of suppliers
- Provide cost effective options for prolonging the life of the building's assets
- Maintaining and managing the asset register and preventative maintenance schedule
- Creation and management of maintenance programs
- Capital works fund assessment and management
- Management and/or provision of security systems and items
- Coordinating certifications including swimming pools, fire systems, lifts and roof anchor points
- Assist with the management of upholding by-laws, by instigating written requests to rectify breaches and advising owners/occupiers of any breaches
- Drafting and updating emergency plans, as well as assisting with emergency response and evacuations
- Evaluate and ensure building compliance and safety is maintained, as well as taking care of issues as they arise
Requirements:
- Previous Building, Facilities Management, Hotel or Security Management experience
- Residential experience will be looked upon favourably
- Knowledge of relevant By-Laws, regulations and building codes
- Competent in handling responsibilities and time management
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong problem-solving abilities and conflict resolution skills
- Proficient use of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel, Outlook etc.
- Ability to create and complete checklists
- Set and keep high standards of amenity in the building
- Must hold valid Driver's Licence and own transportation
- Flexibility to work some weekends as required
Working Hours: 9am to 5pm or 7am to 3pm Monday to Friday. Should a Saturday be worked 'time in lieu' during the week will be granted.
