Support Worker Opportunity

We are seeking a Support Worker to join our team in the Northern Rivers region. In this role, you will provide person-centred care and support to customers in their homes.

Job Description

This position involves travelling between customer homes and assisting with daily living and lifestyle requirements. Duties may include:

  • Domestic assistance: light household cleaning, laundry and meal preparation
  • Social support/transportation: social activities, shopping/groceries, travelling to medical appointments
  • Supporting customers in the use of aids including standing or walking frames and wheelchairs.
  • Monitoring the well-being of customers and reporting on their progress
  • Participating in staff meetings and attending training as required

Services are generally between the hours of 6am-6pm Monday to Friday.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Australian Federal Police Clearance
  • Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
  • NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
  • Current Australian Driver's Licence
  • Reliable, registered and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required)
  • Smartphone with internet access
