Job Opportunity:

Mater Health is seeking a passionate and dedicated professional to fill a key role in their team.

The Position:

  • Undertake routine clinical practice within established protocols to achieve patient focused outcomes
  • Apply increasing clinical judgement to more complex cases under clinical supervision
  • Provide leadership, guidance, training and support to less experienced practitioners in the delivery of clinical services
  • Contribute to the development of clinical practices, procedures and protocols within professional teams
  • Participate in multidisciplinary teams, and liaise with patients, their families and external agencies to facilitate care
  • Identify, develop and participate in quality improvement activities to continually improve services and patient outcomes

About You:

  • A degree in social work that provides eligibility for membership of the AASW
  • Experience in provision of social work services, ideally in a health setting to mothers, babies and women
  • Demonstrated clinical practice and application of clinical judgement in provision of high quality, evidence based care
  • Effective communication skills and ability to work co-operatively with professionals and teams to achieve outcomes
  • Ability to rapidly acquire skills to identify, develop and participate in quality improvement activities
