About the RoleAs a Youth Worker, you will play a vital role in engaging with and supporting children and young people who exhibit challenging behaviours. Your responsibilities include assisting them to achieve their social, educational, cultural and emotional goals, as well as overseeing their daily care.
Daily Tasks- Providing hands-on support in teaching life skills, such as cooking, cleaning, budgeting, completing homework, personal care, booking and attending appointments, participating in sports and engaging in schooling.
- Developing support documentation, including Positive Behaviour Support Plans and progress reports.
- Assessing and supporting the developmental progress of our young people.
- Liaising with and reporting to stakeholders to share information, contribute to planning and ensure desired outcomes are achieved.
- Creating activity plans and facilitating community engagement for the young person.
- Safely supporting behaviours using Therapeutic Crisis Intervention techniques.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work effectively in a team environment and have a strong commitment to providing high-quality care and support.
