**Job Title:** Meat Cutter Apprentice

Are you looking to start a rewarding career in the food industry? Do you have a passion for delivering excellent customer service and working as part of a team? We are seeking a talented Meat Cutter Apprentice to join our dynamic retail grocery store team.

As a Meat Cutter Apprentice, you will play a vital role in ensuring that our customers receive the highest level of service. Your responsibilities will include:

  1. Providing continuous attention to customer needs; greeting, assisting and thanking customers in a prompt, courteous and friendly manner.
  2. Preparing and packaging food products and processing customer orders to their specifications.
  3. Receiving and breaking down meat deliveries.
  4. Utilizing peak time performance cutting lists to cut and trim all products as directed by company standards.
  5. Properly wrapping, weighing and pricing product as needed.
  6. Properly cubing, slicing and grinding meat as needed.
  7. Observing local, state and government weights and measure laws, sanitation standards, grinding logs and Country of Origin Labeling.
  8. Observing safety standards while working with power equipment.
  9. Offering product suggestions when appropriate.
  10. Stocking and rotating department products to ensure freshness and date control.
