Seeking Experienced Aged Care Nurses

We are looking for compassionate and skilled Registered Nurses to join our team in providing high-quality care to residents with advanced dementia.

Garrawarra Centre is a residential aged care facility specializing in person-centered care. Our 104-bed facility is an approved Commonwealth Residential Aged Care and National Disability Insurance Scheme (NDIS) provider.

The successful candidates will have experience working in an aged care setting, strong communication skills, and the ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide high-quality patient care, including assessments, planning, and implementation of individualized care plans.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to ensure seamless delivery of care services.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Contribute to a positive and respectful work environment.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia.
  • Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills, and the ability to identify key messages, issues, and concerns when communicating with others.
  • Demonstrated ability to proactively engage with patients/clients to enhance service delivery and guide others in providing service excellence.
  • Demonstrated ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
  • Detailed knowledge and understanding of risk management, safety, and quality principles and the role of the Registered Nurse in applying these principles.
  • Demonstrated recent extensive post-registration experience in an aged care setting.
