Alumina Production Role Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Tradesperson to join our Raw Materials Maintenance team in the Utilities department. The successful candidate will play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our alumina refinery by:

  • Executing maintenance and repair work on key equipment, including Bauxite Unloaders, Alumina Loader, and Dust Collection systems.
  • Identifying and implementing process improvements to enhance plant efficiency and productivity.
  • Collaborating with colleagues to achieve maximum safety standards and high-quality outcomes.
  • Providing excellent customer service and effective communication to internal stakeholders.

Requirements for Success

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • A strong commitment to safety, continuous improvement, and teamwork.
  • Trade qualifications as a Mechanical Fitter or Boilermaker.
  • A current Maritime Security Identification Card (MSIC) or eligibility to meet this requirement.
  • Excellent self-motivation and a focus on delivering exceptional results.
  • Ability to work effectively within a team environment, supporting planners, supervisors, warehouse, and purchasing teams.
