Global has an exciting opportunity for a Mechanical Tradesperson to join our team.
This role is based on ourSantos - Cooper Basin Project, on a 3/2 (3 weeks on, 2 weeks off) FIFO rotational roster.
Description:
About The Role
As a Mechanical Tradesperson, you will be hands-on in the delivery of pipeline and lease construction projects across the Cooper Basin, ensuring safe, high-quality mechanical work in both greenfield and brownfield environments.
Your key responsibilities in this role will include:
Carry out ground and buried installation, repairs, and upgrades to production and processing facilities.
Perform general fit-up of pipe flanges, flange management, and other fixed-plant equipment.
Apply technical knowledge and experience in fabrication, manufacturing, and maintenance.
Interpret drawings and apply knowledge of materials, methods, techniques, and principles to suit specific projects or tasks.
Pneumatic and hydrostatic testing.
Instrumentation and tubing activities.

About You
To be successful in this role you will require the following skills and qualifications:
Qualifications & Experience:
Australian recognised Trade Certificate (Mechanical or Fabrication)
Prior experience in mining, construction, and/or oil & gas
Licenses & Tickets:
Rigging ticket (desirable)
Dogger/Dogman
Elevated Work Platform Operator
Crane Operator (desirable)
Confined Space Entrant
Working at heights
Santos Permit Holder Isolator
HV Driver's Licence (desirable)
Backhoe / Skidsteer ticket (desirable)
Forklift ticket (desirable)
Skills & Attributes:
Strong independent work ethic and high regard for safety
Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
Understanding of and commitment to Safe Work Practices
