Job Overview:

TS Staffing is partnering with a prominent iron ore company to restart operations at a significant mining hub.

The assets have recently been acquired, and operations are scheduled to resume. We are seeking an experienced Environmental Advisor to work directly with mining and processing contractors to ensure compliance with environmental plans and relevant legislation.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Engage with contractors to ensure adherence to environmental protocols
  2. Collaborate with mining and processing contractors to guarantee environmental compliance
  3. Monitor contractor activities and provide guidance on regulatory requirements
  4. Manage the implementation of environmental measures, including dust, noise, water, flora, and fauna control
  5. Respond promptly to environmental incidents and implement corrective actions as necessary
  6. Conduct regular inspections and audits for compliance
  7. Develop and deliver environmental training and inductions for site staff and contractors
  8. Support ESG initiatives and reporting

About You:

  • 4+ years of operational mining experience, preferably in iron ore
  • Desirable: experience developing or implementing ESG programs
  • Strong knowledge of relevant environmental legislation and mine approvals
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Degree in environmental science or equivalent
