Senior Systems Test Engineer Job Description

As a Senior Systems Test Engineer, you will play a key role in identifying hardware and software defects, ensuring the system meets requirements, and verifying stability and functionality.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop test procedures aligned to system and subsystem requirements
  • Design and execute test cases for functional and non-functional testing
  • Conduct dry run of test scripts and formal testing to verify system stability and functionality
  • Perform regression testing to ensure system stability after updates
  • Work independently on projects and lead teams as required
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Science or Engineering
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in systems testing and software testing
  • Expertise in writing SQL queries and using Oracle databases
  • Experience with test management tools and Microsoft Office
  • Excellent communication, documentation, and record-keeping skills
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Experience in transportation, finance, or related sectors
  • Knowledge of ticketing systems and public transportation operations
  • Test automation frameworks and Java programming
Personal Qualities:
  • Self-motivated with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and under pressure
  • Strong customer focus and stakeholder management skills
  • Team player with excellent communication skills
