Job Title: Data Governance Officer

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Data Governance Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in establishing and supporting our Information Management Program, implementing and administering the data governance framework.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development of the information management program by collaborating with stakeholders and providing expert advice on data governance best practices.
  • Develop and document new and existing data governance and information management policies, standards, and guides to ensure compliance and effectiveness.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to promote data governance and information management, and provide training and support as needed.
  • Maintain or administer data governance processes and/or procedures to ensure data integrity and risk mitigation.
  • Assist in reporting on the progress of the initial rollout, including uptake, compliance, and effectiveness.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • High-level understanding of data governance and Information management concepts such as the DAMA DMBOK framework.
  • Experience in Data Management and Data Governance Tools.
  • Understanding of regulatory requirements related to data privacy & data risks.
  • An understanding of the financial services operating environment and products (general insurance).
