In this position, you will work as a skilled Mechanical Technician with a focus on delivering high-quality mechanical services. Your primary responsibilities will include maintaining and repairing complex machinery, ensuring accurate and detailed job records.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Selecting the right tools and equipment for mechanical assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair tasks.">
  • Providing top-notch mechanical servicing and minor repairs while guaranteeing that all job cards are precise and comprehensive.">
  • Using diagnostic tools and techniques to identify faults or malfunctions.">
  • Troubleshooting and repairing mechanical issues and breakdowns, restoring functionality efficiently.">
  • Performing maintenance tasks and repairs working on components and systems to ensure they operate correctly and safely.">
  • Developing and implementing mechanical maintenance plans to prevent costly equipment failures and extend the lifespan of mechanical systems.">
  • Estimating material costs and quantities, as well as machine requirements for various projects.">
  • Documenting processes, maintaining mechanical service records, and keeping accurate records of all maintenance and repair activities.">
  • Monitoring the availability of parts and supplies, and replenishing as needed to minimize downtime.">
  • Optimizing mechanical efficiency by adjusting machinery and equipment settings to meet performance and safety standards.">
  • Possessing a strong understanding of mechanical systems, including knowledge of how different components work together. This includes knowledge of engines, transmissions, hydraulics, and other mechanical systems.">
  • Ensuring that designs and finished work meet or exceed specified engineering and quality standards.">
  • Following safety procedures to protect yourself and others while working with mechanical systems.">
  • Providing training to colleagues on the safe and efficient use of mechanical machinery and equipment.">
  • Communicating with customers to explain repair options and provide estimates for repairs. Addressing customer concerns and inquiries professionally.">

Requirements:

  • ">
  • Suitable trade qualifications or relevant experience.">
  • A minimum of 5 years of Land Rover experience.">
  • Proven service experience and passion for the brand and industry (we specialize in Land Rovers / Range Rovers).">
  • Experience with problem-solving and diagnostic skills.">
  • Proficiency in using a variety of hand tools to disassemble, reassemble, and repair mechanical parts.">
  • The ability to take ownership.">
  • Basic computer literacy.">
  • A current NSW/ACT full drivers licence.">
  • Excellent interpersonal skills.">
  • A customer service focus.">
  • The ability to work as a team but also autonomously.">
  • The ability to take direction and criticism.">
  • The ability to maintain a clean and tidy work area and general workshop maintenance (sweeping, mopping).">
