Job Description
  • Manage caseloads with support from Rehabilitation Assistants;
  • Apply clinical knowledge to improve return to work outcomes;
  • Develop and implement injury prevention and workplace education programs;
  • Work collaboratively with injured workers, employers, medical professionals and allied health practitioners;
  • Cross-scheme working including workers compensation, compulsory third party, life insurance and employer-funded injury prevention programs;
  • Assist individuals with injuries or health conditions achieve return to health and return to work outcomes;
  • Complete assessments using clinical skills to review diagnosis, support treatment plans, address psychosocial barriers to employment and identify suitable employment opportunities;
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Health Sciences or Rehabilitation Counselling;
  • General or Provisional registration with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Psychologist or eligibility for Full membership with Australian Society of Rehabilitation Counsellors (ASORC);
  • Previous experience working in Occupational Rehabilitation industry is highly regarded;
  • Fabulous communication skills and ability to build relationships with clients and stakeholders;
  • Compassion and empathy essential for this role;
  • Well-developed time management skills necessary;
  • A current NSW Driver's License and access to own car with comprehensive insurance required;
