Job Title: Procurement Specialist

We are seeking a highly skilled procurement specialist to join our team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for managing duties associated with the on-boarding of suppliers, quoting, negotiation, selection, and purchase order placement of indirect, production and aftermarket product, services, in accordance with corporate policies and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Investigating potential suppliers for the supply of direct parts and repair services;
  • Identifying and addressing shortfalls in supplier base to support commodity requirements;
  • Expediting quotes and orders from suppliers to ensure delivery, quality and corporate KPIs are achieved;
  • Generating weekly and monthly Supply Chain Management reports and providing to the appropriate Project Manager;
  • Preparing import and export permits;
  • Providing administrative support for the Online Travel Booking System (CTM);
  • Monitoring Supply Chain Management generic email inbox and distributing correspondence accordingly;
Requirements:
  • Strong and accurate verbal and written communication skills;
  • Administering all affairs between GDLS and suppliers (subcontractors);
  • Ability to take the lead and drive discussions and resolve problems;
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with export / import and trade compliance requirements;
  • Demonstrated experience in cost analysis of proposals, proposal fact-finding, proposal negotiations, including cost, terms and conditions, and scopes of work;
  • Demonstrated experience in expediting and shortage management;
  • To be successful for this role, applicants must be eligible to obtain and maintain an Australian government security clearance;
