We're seeking a motivated and experienced driver to join our team at Gate Gourmet, a leading provider of catering and provisioning services for the airline industry.

About the Role:

As a Catering Truck Driver, you will be responsible for driving our hi-lift catering trucks and performing the correct load/off-load procedures of meal carts onto and off planes according to flight schedules and health & safety requirements.

Your Key Responsibilities:

  • Complete the gathering and fault-free timely load/off-load of catering material, ensuring complete load security, coordinating with all necessary departments, Transport Dispatcher (Dock controllers) and Duty Manager.
  • Complete pre-trip truck checks, ensuring cleanliness and assume responsibility for the driving of high-loader catering vehicle.
  • Load and unload onto and off aircraft in accordance with flight schedules, loading lists/labels and stowages into the correct galley positions and health and safety/customer requirements.
  • Liaise with the Transport Dispatcher (Dock Controllers) in the case of injuries and accidents, absence of material or any other irregular operations.

Requirements:

  • A current MR or HR valid driver's license.
  • Previous experience in a similar role would be highly regarded but not essential.
  • Experience of working in a fast-paced deadline-driven environment.
  • Good communication skills.
  • Availability to work a 7-day roster across morning and afternoon shifts.
  • The ability to obtain an Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC) and Airside Driving Authority (ADA).
  • No criminal background.
  • Willing to undertake a pre-employment medical at our cost.
