Senior Backend Software Engineer

We are looking for a skilled and ambitious individual to fill a challenging role within our business services organisation.
Key Responsibilities:- Design, develop, and maintain innovative software solutions to support commercial projects
- Collaborate with Developers, Testers and Product Owners in a fast-paced Agile development environment
- Conduct thorough Peer Code Reviews
- Participate actively in planning, backlog refinement and user story estimation
- Elaborate user stories into coding tasks, focusing on technical and functional aspects
- Leverage expertise in design and development to create effective solutions
- Mentor and coach junior team members to enhance their skills
- Identify and resolve production issues, contribute to release management, and communicate effectively with stakeholders
- 6+ Years of experience in a professional role similar to this position
- Expertise in Java v17, JavaScript (including VueJS), Unit Testing (JUnit with Complex Mocking), Developing and utilising APIs (Jersey), MS SQL Server, Continuous integration and deployment (CI/CD) and DevSecOps culture
- Familiarity with HTML5/CSS, Test Driven Development and Behaviour driven development
