Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver High-Quality Child Protection Services
    • Provide accountable and collaborative integrated child protection services for complex cases, respecting the culture and context of each child, young person, family, and community.
    • Undertake high-quality strengths-based child protection practice, including assessment, intervention, casework, and complex case management.
  • Collaborate with Multi-Disciplinary Teams
    • Participate and contribute productively as a team member to form culturally appropriate, professional working relationships with colleagues and stakeholders.
    • Foster a culture and philosophy of quality frontline service delivery based on collaboration, cooperation, commitment to excellence, and professional ethics.
  • Maintain High-Quality Case Records
    • Ensure accurate and comprehensive case records are maintained in accordance with departmental case management requirements.
  • Contribute to Continuous Learning and Quality Improvement
    • Participate and contribute to a culture of continuous learning, training, and professional development to ensure practice knowledge and skills are contemporary and evidence-based.
    • Contribute to continuous quality improvement strategies to enhance service delivery.
  • Provide Coaching and Mentoring
    • Draw on professional practice experience to provide coaching and mentoring to new and less experienced Child Safety Officers, developing their skills and knowledge.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will require:

  • Relevant qualifications and experience in child protection or a related field.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
  • Capacity to maintain high-quality case records and contribute to continuous learning and quality improvement.
