Strategic Finance Director

This is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing the finance function of two private hospitals, reporting to the Chief Executive Officer. You will manage a small diverse team and be a hands-on operator, driving financial management from a reporting, cash flow, and financial perspective.
Main Responsibilities:
- Lead the finance team in improving financial reporting and drive strategic initiatives.
- Manage profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow in accordance with accounting standards and audit requirements.
- Coordinate the month-end timetable to ensure accurate and timely deliverables.
- Own and maintain general ledger accounts and reconciliations, aligning with external audit expectations.
- Deliver actionable analytics and insights to support decision-making.
- Develop and maintain financial accounting policies and procedures.
- Conduct bi-annual reviews with stakeholders.
- Manage tax compliance, including GST, income tax, FBT, BAS, and franking credits, with assistance from external advisors.
- CA/CPA qualified with over 10 years of finance experience.
- Prior hospital experience is highly desirable.
- Strong leadership skills with a growth mindset.
- Excellent communication skills to engage with various stakeholders.
- A hands-on operator with self-motivation to drive functional improvement.
