Job Summary

This role forms part of the leadership team for place based prevention and population health initiatives.

  • To support Victoria's public health vision that Victorians are the healthiest people in the world.
  • To co-lead the Community Partnership teams, focusing on working with prevention partners across the region, specifically in the South West.
Key Responsibilities

The key focus will be on:

  • Developing and maintaining partnerships in primary prevention.
  • Leading place based prevention and population health initiatives.

Selection Criteria
  • Able to list Barwon Health's values.
  • Able to describe a situation in the workplace where you have displayed one of these values.
  • Tertiary qualification in Health Promotion, Public Health, Management or relevant experience in contemporary health promotion and primary prevention theory and practice.
  • Current Victorian Driver's License.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience in strategic planning, project implementation, relationship management and project management.
  • Demonstrated knowledge and understanding of contemporary health promotion practice including systems thinking, collective impact, settings and placed based approaches.
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain partnerships in primary prevention.
