Job Description

As a Senior Geotechnical Engineer, you will have the opportunity to work on large-scale mining projects including the design and construction of tailings residue and waste storage facilities, water management structures and other associated infrastructure.

  • Manage projects, lead multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers
  • Lead projects including technical specifications, drawings and design reports for major tailings dams, mine waste facilities, containment facilities and mine infrastructure projects
  • Provide input into conceptual and detailed engineering designs, engineering studies, feasibility studies and condition assessments
  • Work closely with clients from concept design through to construction, commissioning and operation stages
  • Build client relationships and contribute to business development

You will also have the opportunity to travel within Australia and internationally to various field locations.

  • Strong initiative, innovation and commitment to technical excellence
  • Enthusiasm to learn and increase technical skills and professional experience
  • Ability to work autonomously or within a project team
  • Superior communication skills including writing proposals and technical reports
  • Exceptional team spirit, interpersonal skills and ability to build long-term relationships with clients and project teams
