Environmental Consultant - Contaminated Sites Specialist

Job Summary:

We are seeking an environmental consultant with expertise in contaminated sites to join our team of specialists. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting site investigations and assessments, including sampling and data analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct site inspections to identify potential contamination and conduct field sampling as required;
  • Assist in the preparation of reports, including environmental site assessments and waste categorisation;
  • Liaise with laboratories and equipment suppliers to ensure sufficient sampling equipment is available;
  • Manage ISO documentation and liaison with external auditors;

Requirements:

To be considered for this role, you will need to have:

  • Tertiary level qualifications in Environmental Science, Geology, Earth Science or Hydrogeology from a recognised Australian institution;
  • Relevant contaminated land degree/experience in environmental site assessments, groundwater investigations and monitoring, waste characterisation, remedial action and environmental management planning;
  • Working understanding of contaminated land & OHS guidelines and experience in Australia;
  • Excellent project planning, management and organisational skills;
  • Ability to perform and demonstrate field works;
  • Excellent report writing and verbal communication skills;
