Newmont is seeking a motivated and reliable individual to complete a 4-year Apprenticeship and commence a rewarding career as an Electrical Instrumentation Technician.
As an Apprentice Electrical Instrumentation Technician, you will be learning about the instrument and electrical equipment used site-wide. Your training will involve maintenance, installation, and fault-finding on all types of electrical/electronic and pneumatic equipment.
You will learn the operation of a wide range of instruments and the principles involved in monitoring and controlling variables such as flow level, pressure, density, and temperature. In addition, you will work on a variety of equipment ranging from simple light and power installations to variable speed drives.
Key Responsibilities- Maintenance, installation, and fault-finding on electrical/electronic and pneumatic equipment
- Operation of a wide range of instruments and monitoring and controlling variables
- Work on a variety of equipment, including simple light and power installations and variable speed drives
- C class drivers licence (provisional licences accepted)
- Ideal experience in an Electrical pre-apprenticeship
- Interest in machinery, engines, electronics, and precision equipment
- Ability to think logically and keep up with changes in technology
- Enthusiasm, motivation, and a willingness to learn
