Electrical Maintenance Technician

About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Auto Electrician to join our Shovels area team at Newmont Mining. As an Auto Electrician, you will be responsible for the maintenance and servicing of electrical systems and components on our Heavy Mobile Equipment (HME) fleet.
Key Responsibilities:
- Carry out routine maintenance of the equipment to the required standard of performance and safety;
- Ensure all work is completed in a timely manner, thus minimizing down time of the equipment;
- Work orders completed in a timely manner to the standards set by the maintenance supervisor;
- Meeting company maintenance and production objectives by ensuring all installation and maintenance work is carried out to relevant Australian standards and regulations;
- Ensures the workshop and yard are kept tidy and that the plant site is left tidy after any work is carried out;
- Caries other duties that may be reasonably required; and
- Participate in safety and communication meetings.
Requirements:
- You will be committed to maximising the amount of scheduled maintenance and minimising the impact of unscheduled works, while striving to continually improve the way we do things.
- You will have a trade qualification as an Auto Electrician, experience maintaining HME, a current C class manual driver's licence and computer skills.
- Experience with Autonomous Haulage Systems and Caterpillar equipment will be highly regarded.
- You will always demonstrate your commitment to safety and use your experience and judgement to ensure yourself and your workmates stay safe.
